About Wild Game Consultants
Wild Game Consultants was founded and incorporated in 2001 by Warren and Susan Smith. The idea began as a small meat and deli shop and was established in a small strip mall in north Edmonton in 2002. The concept was a vision inspired by Warren’s extensive experience in the meat industry in both Edmonton and Vancouver with the idea being that a niche would be “carved” into the game meat business.
In the following year, Warren and Susan realized that they could branch out and connect with the wholesale trade and supply upscale restaurants in the Edmonton area. They soon found that they would be able to supply high quality product, cut to order, to very select clientele. Eventually, they were able to obtain enough business in this sector to allow the closing of the meat and deli shop and pursue the restaurant business.
As they concentrated on the wholesale restaurant trade, the company expanded rapidly and generated the need for a move to larger, more efficient facility in the west end of the city. Here the business continues to grow serving, not only the Edmonton and surrounding area, but reaching as far as Jasper, Fort McMurray and even Calgary.
Today, Wild Game Consultants and Warren and Susan are well known in the restaurant community and support several charities and institutions such as NAIT. As the company continues to grow and evolve, Wild Game consistently strives to provide its customers with quality products and service and to build new relationships.
